Monique and Blake’s micro wedding at Hillside Carool was everything a hinterland celebration should be - relaxed, thoughtful, and full of love. With lush green rolling hills, garden views for days, and soft clouds drifting across the Tweed Hinterland, this intimate day was beautifully simple in the best possible way.
Captured beautifully by the talented Luxe Elopements, the day felt effortless from start to finish. Monique and Blake chose to keep things simple, surrounded only by their nearest and dearest. The setting spoke for itself - sweeping hinterland views, soft garden tones, and a calmness that set the scene for such a heartfelt and joy-filled day.
The couple embraced a monochrome colour palette, which looked incredible against the vibrant greens of the hillside. The black and white details added a timeless feel while still keeping everything modern and understated. And we have to take a moment for their surname — Mr and Mrs Valentine. Honestly - goals.
Every element of the day felt considered, right down to the little details that tied it all together. On the morning of the wedding, our Octagonal Velvet Ring Box in Cloud was the perfect finishing touch for their detail photos. The soft velvet texture and double slot design held both wedding bands beautifully, ready for the ceremony.
Monique’s bouquet was wrapped in our Pure White Silk Ribbon, which floated softly in the breeze and added the most romantic movement to every photo. Proof that sometimes it’s the smallest touches that make the biggest difference.
For their confetti moment, the couple chose our Biodegradable White Confetti, and it couldn’t have been more fitting for the lush hinterland backdrop. The white confetti floated so magically against the greenery, creating that iconic “just married” moment everyone dreams of.
When it came time to cut the cake, the newlyweds’ favourite people surrounded them with our Extra Long Wedding Sparklers — and it was pure magic. The sparklers added the most romantic glow and created some of our favourite photos from the day. We’re calling it now: a sparkler cake-cutting moment is the new must-have for any celebration.
